Day 1: Calgary - Yoho National Park - Banff National Park - Banff (297 km)

Along the No.1 Highway, we will head to the Yoho National Park. Then we will visit the Emerald Lake. After lunch, we will continue to visit the Lake Louise. In addition, we will have a chance to experience the Snow Shoeing. Then we can also choose to enjoy the famous Fairmont Afternoon Tea or take a Sleigh Ride at your own expense. Afterwards we will drive back to Banff Town.

Day 2: Calgary - Banff National Park - Clearwater County - Banff (12548 km)

Today we will go to visit the Johnston Canyon firstly. We can enjoy the Ice Walk (Rivet shoes are provided ). After that, we can enjoy the free hot chocolate drink prepared by our tour guide. Then we will continue to the Vermillion Lake, a popular destination for photographers.. Then we will go to visit the Surprise Corner and then the Bow Falls, a must-see when visiting Banff. Afterwards we will return back to hotel.

Note: for guests whose departure dates on Friday during Dec 23, 2019 to Mar 10, 2020, we will replace the itinerary above with the Abraham Lake Tour. The Abraham Lake Tour may be cancelled due to weather conditions and we will change to original itinerary.
Travel through Icefields Parkway, we will come to visit the Jasper National Park. Afterwards, we will visit the Bow Lake. Then we will continue to visit the Abraham Lake, famous for Frozen Bubbles Lake in the winter. Guests can also take a helicopter tour at your own expense. After that, we will return back to the Banff Town.

    There is no walking path around the Abraham Lake. Please pay attention to personal safety during the tour and wear non-slip shoes. The rivet crampons are provided for free.

Day 3: Banff - Calgary (209 km)

We will visit Banff Sulphur Mountain, ride Gondola, appreciate Johnston Canyon, Bow Falls, Surprise Corner and Hoodoos. Before returning back to Calgary, we will drop off at the Banff Town. At around 7:00pm we will arrive in Calgary. Please refer to the "Departure& Return" for more detailed information.

  • Tour Tips:

    • It is recommended that you redeem your local currency before you departure. The tour guide does not provide currency exchange services.
    • No smoking in the hotel room or there will be penalty.

    • Please arrive at the pick-up location in advance. If you miss the transportation, you will need to arrange your own transportation to next designation to meet our group.

  • The weather in the Rocky Mountain Scenic Area is dry and cold in winter. The temperature is usually under 10癈. Please prepare adequate winter clothing, hats, wool socks and waterproof ski boots or sports shoes.
  • Guests need to sign the "Waiver" when joining winter activities. We recommend you to purchase travel insurance.
  • The Rocky Mountain is located at a high altitude and there is still plenty of sunshine in winter. Please bring sunscreen, sunglasses and hat to avoid ultraviolet radiation and avoid the possibility of snow blindness.
  • Snow shoes walking: please wear warm in outdoor activities and also wear non-slip shoes when walking in snowy lakes, canyons and etc.
  • Banff Upper Hot Spring: the temperature difference in winter is large during outdoor natural hot springs, please make sure to keep warm after that; The suggested soaking time should not exceed 20 minutes; The hot spring area provides lockers, please take care of your own belongings.

Confirmation

  • After the reservation information is submitted, you will immediately receive a receipt email for the reservation order. Within 72 hours of submission, you will receive an order status confirmation email. Please do not book a flight until you receive an order status confirmation email.

Redemption

  • After booking online, you will receive a "confirmation email" with complete instructions, including the local phone number of the destination. When you are sure, be sure to print this "confirmation email" and take it with you on your trip -- evidence that you have paid for it.

Terms & Condition

  • The following applies to order cancellations and changes:
    - reduce the number of participants for the same order
    - cancel the entire order
    - change of itinerary
    - change different dates for the same trip
    1. No refund will be made for any change or cancellation of the entire order or one or all of the activities, meals, tickets and accommodation within 30 days prior to the departure of the tour;
    2. Charge C$100/ order/time service fee 31 days or more before the tour (activities and catering are refundable)
    3. Christmas, New Year, and holidays(Dec.16-Jan.02) are non-refundable and non-changeable once confirmed.
  • The following applies to order modification
    - increase the number of participants in the trip (depending on the resource situation of the corresponding date of the trip)
    - change the name of the person participating in the trip
    1. No modification shall be made within 30 days before the tour
    2. A service fee of C$50/ single/trip will be charged for 31 days or more before the trip
    3. If there is any upgrade hotels (Fairmont, etc.) in the booking, there will be non-refundable for any changes or cancellation for upgrade hotel option.
  • The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
  • If your itinerary includes shuttle service, please be sure to provide accurate flight information and arrive at the designated pick-up location in advance. The travel agency reserves the right to provide the second service or to charge $30 per person if there is an error in pick-up due to inaccurate information.
