To join this tour, guests should meet at the specified departure location in Brno. Today, we will visit two of the most interesting towns in the Moravia region: Telc Castle and its Renaissance Era town center and the Jewish Ghetto of Trebic. Both of these locations are registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In Telc, nicknamed the "Venice of Moravia," we will feel as though we have stepped into a fairy tale. The town features a Gothic Chateau and Zacharias of Hradec Square.
Then, we will continue on our way to Trebic, home an excellently-preserved Jewish Quarter. Here, we will explore the buildings and monuments, many of which are independently listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as the Cemetery. Afterwards, we will return to Brno, where the tour will come to an end. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.
Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic by population and area, it is also the largest Moravian city and the historical capital city of the Margraviate of Moravia.
This lovely Czech town was founded in the 13th century. The local Chateau is regarded around the world for its impeccable beauty, and the main square features many colorful Baroque and Renaissance houses.
Telc Chateau was first built as a Gothic castle in the late Middle Ages before undergoing renovations to transform it into the Renaissance style that the building exudes today, complete with a small English garden.
This town in the Moravia region of the Czech Republic is home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including one o the largest and best preserved Jewish Quarters in Europe.
Trebic's Jewish Quarter is considered to be one of the best preserved in all of Europe. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It features 123 houses and 2 synagogues.
