Day 1 Newport

Perfect for fans of the Gilded Age, yachts, mansions and millionaires, during this tour we'll visit a variety of places associated with the rich and famous.

First, we'll tour the Vanderbilt's seventy-room summer home, the Marble House. With approximately 500,000 cubic feet of white marble, it was built in 1892. Afterwards, we will travel to Newport's beautifully restored waterfront for shopping and lunch. See glamorous private yachts, modern racing sailboats, Newport's fishing fleet and ships from around the world.

In the afternoon, we'll visit a second famous mansion, the Breakers Mansion. We will travel along the ten-mile Ocean Drive enjoy spectacular views of mansions and secluded coves before returning to Boston.

Newport is a high end New England seaport town, extremely popular among the mega-rich of America. Travel along Ocean Drive to get beautiful scenic views and see the magnificent Breakers Mansion. It is a short drive from Boston.

The tour guide provided detailed information of the attractions. He was very friendly! I love the Breakers Mansion, the view from its balcony is superb!! This is a must-go 1 day trip!
