Day 1 Beijing

We will spend the day touring Beijing. Beginning in Tiananmen Square, we will visit the National Museum. Later in the day, we will visit the Forbidden City to climb up the hill in Jingshan Park, where we will get a bird's eye view of the golden rooftops. The Forbidden City was the Chinese Imperial Palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty from 1420 to 1912, serving as the home of the Emperors and their households, as well as being the ceremonial and political center of the Chinese government for almost 500 years. We will also have the option of watching a Beijing Opera Show.

Day 2 Beijing

We will begin our day by visiting the Changling Mausoleum, the largest, oldest and best-preserved of the Ming Tombs. In the afternoon, we will head to the Badaling Great Wall, where we will ride a cable car to get a broader view of the landscape. Once we return to the city, we will visit Bird's Nest Stadium, designed for the 2008 Summer Olympics. We will also have the option of watching a Kung Fu Show.

Day 3 Beijing

Today we will explore Beijing, starting with the Summer Palace, an enormous park with pavilions, temples and more. After lunch, we will visit the Temple of Heaven. Then, we will take a walk around the Old Beijing Hutong Area, where we will see what people's daily lives are like.

Day 4 Beijing - Tianjin(113 km)

In the morning we will depart from Beijing to Tianjin, one of four municipalities in China. Upon our arrival, the guide will accompany us on a walk down the city's Ancient Cultural Street. In the afternoon, we will visit Jingyuan. After that, we will see the Five Great Avenues. We will also have the option of trying goubuli baozi, a type of steamed meat bun.

Day 5 Tianjin

Today, we will visit the First Teaching Hospital at the Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Afterwards, we will head to Yang Liu Qing, a small town, to eat lunch and admire the Shi Courtyard. Art lovers can visit a local folk painting studio. In the afternoon, we will explore the Italian Style Street. In the evening, we can spend some free time at the Nanshi Grocery Street. We will also have the option of taking a Haihe River Boat Cruise.

Day 6 Tianjin - Chengde(304 km)

Early in the morning, we will depart for Chengde to visit the Chengde Mountain Resort, China's largest imperial garden, measuring twice the size of Beijing's Summer Palace. The imperial summer villa was often used as a second capital for the Emperor. In 1994, it became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Chengde, a city in China, is a prefecture-level city in Hebei province, situated northeast of Beijing. It is best known as the site of the Mountain Resort, a vast imperial garden and palace formerly used by the Qing emperors as summer residence.
