Day 1 Beijing

Guests will be picked up in Beijing to begin this tour. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations. Our first stop will be the heart of the city, Tiananmen Square, where we will enter the gates to the Forbidden City, the ancient imperial palace grounds. Afterwards, we will drive to the Temple of Heaven, a large imperial complex of religious buildings. Then, we will enjoy a delectable buffet lunch that mixes Chinese and Western cuisine. Our next stop will be the Summer Palace, a large, beautiful imperial garden. During the course of the day, we will be able to stop and visit a CTM Culture and silk store for some shopping. At the end of the tour, guests will be returned to their hotels.

With more than 20 million people, China's capital is one of the most populated cities in the world. Beijing is an incredibly ancient city, and its stylized architecture, opulent gardens, and more have made it a popular tourism locale.
