Day 1 Barcelona

To begin the day, we will visit an old, boutique winery that produces some of the best wine in all of Spain, where we will get a personalized experience while we tour the facility and get to sample some flavors as well as some olive oil and cava. We will also get to explore the private country house of the Llopart family and see the vineyards on the premises. This is a great way to learn all about wine-making. Afterwards, we will begin the second part of the tour, traveling to the mountain of Montserrat. To get to the top of the mountain, we will take a cog-wheel train, which brings us to the where we will visit the magnificent Royal Basilica at the summit. This building contains a famous 12th century Romanesque carving of the Black Madonna. The site has attracted pilgrims since its foundation in 1025. We will be able to enjoy a detailed audio-visual exhibition about the history and creation of Montserrat. Afterwards, we will return to Barcelona.

This gorgeous Spanish city on the Mediterranean is one of the world's most popular tourists destinations due to its rich cultural heritage. Visitors can see medieval buildings or admire modernity at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

  • Always Visit
A very short trip outside of Barcelona will bring visitors to Montserrat, a mountain nearby the city. Perfect hiking trails wind their way over the broad mountain. A beautiful Benedictine Abbey was built amongst these peaks.
