This rock climbing tour involves two different levels depending on your experience. Beginner climbs range in difficulty of 5.5 to 5.8, and use a top-rope setup within 50 feet of the ground. With this technique, you will easily be able to receive instruction and can return to the ground at any time. Intermediate climbs go from 5.7 to 5.9 in level of difficulty. Here, you will use a top-belay setup or multi-pitch techniques. Such set-ups require you to know the belaying technique and general climbing knowledge.

Day 1 Banos

After meeting at the specified location in Baņos, we will meet with our guide and receive all the necessary equipment for our rock climbing adventure. Then, we will take a 15 minute drive to the location where we will be climbing. The guide will give us a safety briefing before we begin. Guests who are doing this for the first time will be able to climb easier slopes. There are many different techniques we will learn about, and we can utilize whichever suits us individually. More experienced climbers will be able to partake in a more advanced route, without the aid of the guide (however, such a climb still requires efficiency and clear communication). The goal of this tour is for us to learn and develop tactical climbing skills. Afterwards, we will return to Baņos.
