Day 1 Adelaide - Kangaroo Island - Adelaide (314 km)
In the early morning, we will take a coach to the Cape Jervis. We will pass through the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula on our way to Cape Jervis on the cruise. Then we will cruise the Backstairs Passage to Penneshaw on the Kangaroo IslandEmu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery and learn about the history of the oil distillery. Then we will enjoy an Aussie country style two course lunch in a rural setting at Vivonne Bay Bistro. Afterwards, we will go for a walk in the wild with seals on the beach at Seal Bay, home for over 500 Australian Sea Lions, and witness an In-Flight Birds of Prey display at Raptor Domain. Then we will continue to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park where we may see koalas, penguins, hand feed kangaroos and wallabies, snakes, crocodiles, reptiles. Then we will settle in to the accommodation at Mercure KI.
Day 2 Kangaroo Island - Adelaide (157 km)
Today we will enjoy a full buffet breakfast before we commence on the second day of touring Kangaroo Island. We will visit the Clifford's Honey Farm with an informative talk by the keeper followed by tastings and opportunity to sample honey ice cream! We can enjoy delicious two course lunch at Hanson Bay Visitor Centre Cafe. After that, we will have an opportunity to look for koalas in their natural habitat and see an abundance of native birdlife in the wildlife sanctuary. Then we will continue to the western most part of the island. We will go to see the unspoilt wilderness of Flinders Chase National Park and witness the astounding rock formations at the Remarkable Rocks. We can also take in the spectacle of Admirals Arch, see New Zealand fur seals in their natural ocean environment. Then we will return to the Penneshaw and cruise back to Cape Jervis and onto Adelaide.
