Day 1

We will travel through the mountain villages of Blaxland, Leura, Wentworth Falls and Lawson, see Katoomba - resort capital of the Blue Mountains. We will enjoy views over stunning eucalypt forest and age-old rock formations as travel through the scenic Blue Mountains. Hear the Aboriginal story about the creation of the Three Sisters Rock formation. Opportunity to ride the world's steepest Railway and enjoy the awesome views from the Cableway and from the glass floored Skyway as it glides between cliff tops (own expense). Stroll along the boardwalk, through pristine world heritage listed wilderness. Enter Jenolan Caves via the impressive Grand Arch - Australia's best known and most extensive underground limestone cave system. Join an informative and fully accredited guided tour of Lucas Cave. We will also visit the mysterious and enchanting Blue Lake - keep an eye out for a platypus! See the beautiful Caves Guesthouse. Have the chance of seeing wild kangaroos and wallabies up close.

Blue Mountains National Park, AU

This park, located about 50 miles from Sydney, is one of the most visited national parks in Australia. The most famous location within the park is the Three Sisters rock formation.

Three Sisters

This rock formation in the Blue Mountains National Park gets its name from a local legend of three women from a local Aboriginal tribe. It is three scraggy stacks that just out from a mountainside.

Jenolan Caves

This system of limestone caves in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales is filled with stalagmites and stalactites, making them a popular tourist attraction. Many of the caves are illuminated with colorful LED displays.
