    Pick up for your Wine Country tour at your San Francisco hotel in downtown or Fisherman's Wharf area.
    8:30 - 9:00 AM
    Drive through the Marina neighborhood, past the Palace of Fine Arts, the Presidio, and head north across the Golden Gate Bridge. Continue north through the Marin Headlands to Sausalito. Pick-up at Sausalito hotels if necessary.

    Listen to the story of the Redwoods while driving over the headlands into Redwood Valley to Muir Woods National Monument.
    9:30 - 10:30 AM
    Spend an hour at Muir Woods before the crowds, under the shadows of 250 foot Redwoods. Enjoy native flora and fauna: ferns, mushrooms, bay laurel trees and blue jays. Zigzag across the moss-lined creek on one of 3 footbridges.

    Head north on U.S. 101 to the first winery stop in the Carneros Region of Sonoma County, the birthplace of California's wine industry.

Day 1 San Francisco - Muir Woods - Napa Valley - San Francisco(113 miles)

In the early morning, guests will be picked up from their Bay Area hotels. Our first stop of the day will be the Muir Woods National Monument, one of the few coastal redwood forests left in the area. After taking in this wonder, we will begin our wine tour in Sonoma. Then, we will go to either the Sonoma Plaza or Healdsburg Plaza, followed by renowned Napa Valley. At the end of the day, guests will return to their hotels. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

San Francisco, the heart of central California's Bay Area, is famous for its iconic Golden Gate Bridge, its unique culture, and its position at the forefront of technological innovation. Beautiful weather and waterfront views await visitors as well!

    Muir Woods National Monument, across the bay from San Francisco, is a sanctuary for coastal redwoods. Visitors will be awed by these trees that extend themselves high above. This makes an excellent spot for camping and hiking.

This region between San Francisco and Sacremento is internationally famous for its wines, which are considered among the best in the world. Visitors can tour many of the more than four hundred vineyards and wineries that dot the area.

Day 2 San Francisco - Alcatraz

In the morning, guests will make their way to Pier 33, where we will board the ferry to Angel Island, home of the infamous Alcatraz Prison. We will spend the day touring the island, with help from a special audio tour, and get some additional free time before we return to the mainland.
