Day 1

Guests will be picked up from the specified departure location in San Francisco. Today, we will travel along scenic California's Pacific Coast Highway 1 to the beautiful Monterey Peninsula, famous for its spectacular ocean views, abundant wildlife, and historical past. We will make stop at Cannery Row and visit great shops and restaurants overlooking the Pacific, also visit Monterey Aquarium. Next, we will travel through the famous 17-Mile Drive and see Pebble Beach Golf Course. Photo stops will be made along this gorgeous drive. Our tour will continue to Carmel by the sea, where ample time is given to walk through this charming town dotted with lovely shops and beautiful architecture. Monterey, CA

Monterey was the capital of Alta California under both Spain and Mexico. It was the only port of entry for taxable goods in California. In 1846 the U.S. flag was raised over the Customs House, and California became part of the United States after the ensuing Mexican-American War.

Cannery Row

This street made famous by the John Steinbeck novel of the same name was once the center of Monterey's fishing industry. Today, it is a tourist attraction and conservation area home to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and many seal lions.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

This large aquarium in Monterey, California is home to some of the world's largest and most unique exhibits. It was both the first aquarium to successfully keep a great white shark and cultivate a kelp forest for show.

17-Mile Drive

Officially called Carmel-by-the-Sea, this coastal Southern California town is known for its amazing scenery as well as its art scene past and present. Former mayors include Clint Eastwood, Perry Newberry, and Herbert Heron, among other artistic icons.

All guests staying in hotels at and around Fishermanæ¯ Wharf can go to the tour center on 2800 Leavenworth St no later than 45 minutes before the tour starts. The vendor sends a bus to pick them up and transport them to 478 Post St.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes in advance before departure.

Additional Note

Suggested Attire: for day tours, casual, comfortable clothes and walking shoes are advised.
Wheelchair accessible. However, passengers in a wheelchair can be accommodated only if they can get on and off the bus on their own and if the wheelchair is foldable. The driver is not permitted to assist handicapped persons due to insurance restrictions
Buses are air conditioned and the size of the bus depends on the number of passengers booked for that particular day. There are 48, 28, 39, 47 and 50 seat vehicles.

Hello! This tour will visit Google, Apple, Intel, HP and Facebook, top technology companies in Silicon Valley. But the tour will not be able to go inside those technology companies.

Unfortunately it was a rainy day. I strongly recommend you to check the weather before booking this tour. They put us with other groups and the driver (tower tour - Larry) was very nice. The Monterey Aquarium is awesome!
