Day 1: Mexico City

After arrival in Mexico City, we will be picked up from airport and then transferred to the hotel. Upon check-in and some rest, we could go out to discover this wonderful city. In the evening, we will meet our representative who will give us some practical tips and instructions about the upcoming trip.

Day 2: Mexico City

In the morning, we will take a hop-on-hop-off bus to explore Mexico City at your own pace. It is a world-class cultural hub that offers a huge variety of museums, galleries, and architectural gems, along with bustling nightlife and diverse gastronomic culture.

Day 3: Mexico City - Pachuca

In the morning we will take a bus to Pachuca. After arrival and check-in, we will meet our guide who will help us explore this impressive city. We could enjoy our own free time in the evening.

Day 4: Pachuca

Today we will have own free time to explore the town or visit some of the nearby attractions such as Grutas Tolantongo, Xoxafi Caves or the Mineral del Chico.

Day 5: Pachuca - Xalapa (203 km)

In the morning, we will take a bus to cross picturesque Sierra Madre Oriental Mountains and reach Xalapa. Upon arrival and check-in, we will meet our guide to explore this beautiful city and learn about its history and stories. We will enjoy our free time in the evening.

Day 6: Xalapa

Today, we will have own free time to explore the town or visit some of the nearby attractions such as Coatepec's coffee farms. We can also go to nearby La Granada and Bola de Oro waterfalls, walk on the trails and enjoy the nature that is exposed to your senses. Or we can visit the Filobobos Natural Reserve where we could choose from several outdoor activities including river rafting, hiking, visiting local caves and waterfalls.

Day 8: Veracruz

We could explore the area, relax on the beach or visit some of the nearby attractions such as Chachalacas Beach, La Antigua, Cempoala or Mandinga where we can take a boat tour in the lagoon to feel the fresh breeze and admire the exotic birds resting on the mangroves.

In the morning we will head to Catemaco. Lakes, rivers, waterfalls, Gulf of Mexico, mangroves, bird-watching, all abound and ready for us to enjoy. After arrival and check-in, we will meet our local guide to explore the town, learn about its history and try other activities. In the evening we can enjoy our free time.

Day 10: Catemaco

Today we can enjoy our free time to explore the town or take some other activities such as following:
  • Take a boat trip on Lake Catemaco or Lake Sontecomapan.
  • Rent a bike and explore the surroundings of Catemaco.
  • See and learn Huapango.
  • Salto de Eyipantla, a spectacular 50m-high, 40m-wide waterfall.
  • Visit Ecobiosfera where we can take a bird watch tour or make a half-day walking tour in Sontecomapan.
  • Reserva Ecológica Nanciyaga where we could take some nice activities or do a walking tour over a hanging bridge.
  • Check out nearby beaches of the Gulf with coves and small bays.
  • Go to San Andres Tuxtla to see its Laguna Encantada located a few minutes north of the town.

Day 11: Catemaco - Cordoba - Orizaba (216 km)

At 10:00am we will leave from Catemaco and take a bus to Orizaba. We will spend 3 hours for a transfer in Cordoba. At 6:20pm we will depart from Cordoba. After arrival in Orizaba, we will check in at our hotel. We will meet our local guide to explore and learn the history and nowadays of Orizaba. We can enjoy our free time in the evening.

Day 12: Orizaba

Today we can enjoy our free day in Orizaba. We will explore the town or visit some of the nearby attractions such as following:
  • Take a new cable car up to the top of Cerro Borrego. We will get a great view of Pico de Orizaba and there is also a zip-line.
  • Los 500 Escalones. This a very long stair almost 500 steps which takes us close to 34m-high waterfall. We can also walk to Los Siphones spring for a cool swim.
  • Pico de Orizaba. It is the highest mountain in Mexico and the third highest in North America.

    Orizaba is one of the main cities of the Mexican State of Veracruz-Llave. It's located between Mexico City and the port of Veracruz.

Day 13: Orizaba - Puebla (117 km)

At 10:00am in the morning, we will take a bus to Puebla. Upon arrival and check-in, we will meet with the local guide to explore and learn the history of the region and get useful tips of some cool things to do in the area. In the evening we can enjoy our free time.

Day 14: Puebla

Today we will enjoy our free time in Puebla to explore the city or do some other cool activities such as following:
  • Take a hop-on-hop-off bus tour around the city to get a quick view of some of the famous attractions.
  • Rent a bike or take a tour to explore Puebla on the wheels.
  • Visit Atlixco, which is a small, cozy town.
  • Visit Cholula, which is the oldest city in America. We can visit the largest man-made pyramid in the world here. If you like nightlife, this is also a right place.
  • Go to the Popocatepetl or La Malintzi National Parks to spend the day hiking.
  • Puebla, MX

Day 15: Puebla - Mexico City (106 km)

After breakfast, we will depart for Mexico City and then transfer to the airport. Please refer to the "Departure&Return" for more detailed information.
  • Arrival: guests will be picked up from Mexico airport dependinn on the flight time. Please contact with us about the exact pick up details after your booking confirmed.
  • Return: guests would be transferred to the Mexico airport last day. The exact drop-off time depending on your flight time.

    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    60 days or more prior to departure - No cancellation penalty.
    30-59 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    15-29 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Less than 15 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount
    Day of departure - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    Cancellation penalties of all extra services booked with us (airport transfers, pre and post night accommodations, single room surcharge and additional activities):
    31 days or more prior to departure - No cancellation penalty.
    30 days or less prior to departure - 100% of the price of extra services.
    NOTE: There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties. We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
