Day 1 Los Angeles

Today we will gather in Los Angeles. Guests will be picked up at LAX and transferred to hotels for checkin.

Day 2 Grand tour of Los Angeles & Movie Stars' Home (about 8 hours)

See Hollywood sign, Rodeo Drive, Melrose, Sunset Strip, Farmers Market, Olvera Street, Chinatown, The Music Center and the Griffith Park Observatory and Movie Stars' Homes in Beverly Hills and Bel Air.

One of the largest cities in the United States, LA is known worldwide as the home of the rich and famous. From its famous Hollywood neighborhood to landmarks like the Dolby Theater, this magnificent city is sure to provide fun and amusement for all!

    Easily the most recognizable attraction in Los Angeles, images of the Hollywood Sign almost go hand-in-hand with thoughts of the LA film industry. The sign overlooks the city from the south side of Mount Lee.

Day 3 Los Angeles - San Luis Obispo(161 miles)

Today will be spent on the train en route from Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo. Upon our arrival in the late afternoon, we will be transferred to the hotel for checkin. Short taxi ride from Miyako Hotel to Union Station to check in by 9:00 a.m. for Coast Starlight Train leaving at 10:15 a.m. See Simi Valley, orange groves and green houses, reaching the Pacific coast at Oxnard. As the train hugs the shore we see the most magnificent vistas west through Santa Barbara. Turning north at Gaviota through Vandenberg Space Station fields of strawberries and miles of new vines are all around us on the way to Pismo Beach. On arrival in San Luis Obispo around 3:43 the hotel van takes you to Apple Farm Inn for overnight stay.

Day 4 San Luis Obispo - San Simeon - Monterey(135 miles)

In the morning we will drive to San Simeon, CA to visit the impressive Hearst Castle. After some free time and a complimentary picnic lunch, we will return to San Luis Obispo to catch a train to Monterey, CA. We will arrive at night and be transferred to our hotel.

    Hearst Castle is a mansion located on the central coast of California that is a National Historic Landmark. Built in 1919 for William Randolph Hearst, the mansion is more than 90,000 square feet in area.

Day 5 Monterey - San Francisco

In the morning we will have some free time. After lunch, we will tour Monterey, CA, home of the famous Monterey Bay and landmarks such as Cannery Row. We will conclude our day by taking the 17-Mile Drive to San Francisco, CA, where we will spend the night.

Monterey was the capital of Alta California under both Spain and Mexico. It was the only port of entry for taxable goods in California. In 1846 the U.S. flag was raised over the Customs House, and California became part of the United States after the ensuing Mexican-American War.

Day 6 San Francisco - Napa Valley/Muir Woods - San Francisco(101 miles)

Tour option A: Sonoma and Napa Valley Wine Country tour at 8:30. Across the Golden Gate Bridge visit the historic square in Sonoma. Time for lunch on your own. Then to Napa Valley. Visit two or three wineries. Return to the city via Oakland Bay Bridge.

Tour option B: Muir Woods and Sausalito tour at 8:30. Across the Golden Gate Bridge visit Giant Redwood trees in Muir Woods. On to Sausalito a Mediterranean type village. Return by Ferry boat or motor coach. Dinner tonight at Italian restaurant.

Hotels listed for each tour may change due to special events, conventions or other reasons beyond our control.

Meals when included are with a choice of menu. Dinner includes soup or salad, main course, dessert and coffee, milk or tea. Wine, bar beverages, appetizers or fancy desserts are at extra cost to you. Vegetarian, Kosher or other diets can not be guaranteed but you can order appropriate items.

Baggage checked with us is brought to and from the hotel rooms in Monterey and Solvang on the Cypress tour. In case of loss, our maximum liability is $500.00 or repairs up to $50.00 for damage other than normal wear and tear. Baggage handling is not included for Yosemite tours.

Cancellations and refunds
Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours through web mail at Contact Us. Your refund request will be answered and processed promptly. If you do not receive any reply within 2 business days, that means your request is not received successfully; thus, the tour status remains "confirmed". Please contact us immediately at 617.354.2101.

Cancellation penalties per person as follows; there is 6% handling fee of refund amount.(Notification day and departure day are not counted)

Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.

Tour Cancellation
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements (e.g. minimum number of passengers) or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
