Guests will meet the guide at Kings Cross Station in London at 6:30am and board the train for Edinburgh. When we arrive, we will take a bus tour of the city to see places like the Royal Mile, Greyfriars Bobby, Holyroodhouse Palace, and more. Then, we will head to Edinburgh Castle, where we will explore the grounds. Afterwards, we will check into the hotel for the night.
Scotland's capital has been called the "Athens of the North." The city hosts many festivals, and every August, Edinburgh holds the largest international arts festival in the world. This historic locale was the first UNESO City of Literature.
This statue of a Skye Terrier pays homage to the legend of a dog named Greyfriars Bobby that is said to have sat at the grave of his deceased master for 14 years, until he died himself.
The Palace of Holyroodhouse is the official Scottish residence of the royal family and has been since the 1500s. The structures on the palace ground dated back even further, to the founding of Hollyrood Abbey in 1128.
This historic and famous castle sits atop the Castle Rock precipice in the city of Edinburgh. Human occupation of the area that is now the fortress dates back to the second century AD or possibly even earlier.
Day 2 Edinburgh - London(628 km)
Today guests will have the day to explore Edinburgh at their leisure, and should return to the train station for the ride home 45 minutes prior to the departure time. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information.

Departure Time and Location: 7:00am at Kings Cross Station. (Please arrive at least 30 munites in advance before departure)
The train departs at 7:00am from Kings Cross Station. Guests should arrive at the station at 6:30am to meet the tour guide.

has used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or in any way provokes or behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace;
is or appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol;
does not have a valid ticket;
accesses any area of the tour and/or Site other than the areas designated for access by consumers; or
does not comply with all or part of the tour Terms and Conditions.
For the safety of all, consumers are admitted subject to a condition that, if requested to do so, they will allow themselves and/or their belongings to be searched. The following items may not be brought on to the tour: weapons, fireworks, (smoke) bombs, glass bottles, flammable liquids or other articles which may cause injury. Any consumer who refuses himself/herself and/or their belongings to be searched or who is found in possession of such items will be denied entry to the tour and the Site or will be removed from the tour and the Site.
