Day 1 Las Vegas

In the morning, guests will be picked up from their hotels on the Las Vegas Strip to begin this tour. We will set out for the Hoover Dam in the comfort and luxury of a custom-made Tour Trekker vehicle. From the overlook at Lake Mead, we will be transported to the Colorado River by a van via the Lower Portal Road. We will see the original gauging station used to measure water level and flow, and the dynamite storage bunkers used during construction. Then, we will take a guided tour by raft on the waters of the Colorado River for close-up views of the dam, the power plants, and the Black Canyon. On the Bypass Bridge, we will learn historical information and be treated to an astounding view. Afterwards, we will return to Las Vegas, and guests will be dropped off at their hotels. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

Las Vegas is known as the "Entertainment Capital of the World" for a good reason-- casinos and hotels line its streets, and visitors can gamble, see shows, and shop at virtually any hour of the day or night.
