Day 1 Hilo

Your tour guide will meet you at the Hilo airport for our tour of Hilo, HI. It is headlined by the incomparable Volcanoes National Park, home to the still-active Kilauea, which is constantly erupting and sending lava flowing through the park's landscape.

Our day begins with a drive around the historic town of Hilo, the largest city on the Big Island. Here, we will explore the botanical history with visits to Orchid Gardens and a Macadamia Nut Farm.

From there, we will head out into the tropical wilderness to see such sights as the Rainbow Falls before exploring two one-of-a-kind parks, Volcanoes National Park and Lava Trees National Park. The former is a testament to the ever-changing nature of the world, while the latter speaks to the destruction that can be caused in the wake of Mother Nature's fury.

At the end of the day, guests will be returned to the airport. Please see "Departure and Returns" for more information.

Hilo is the largest city, census-designated place (CDP), and settlement in Hawaii County, Hawaii, which encompasses the Island of Hawai'i. Hilo is the county seat of the County of Hawai'i and is located in the District of South Hilo.
