In the morning, guests will be picked up from their hotels in Guadalajara. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations. This tour is specially-designed for those of us that love arts and crafts. We will begin the day by visiting the village of Tlaquepaque, where we will find a diverse array of authentic Mexican crafts and other products, admiring the artists as they works right before our eyes. The village was once the place where the elite of Guadalajara kept their weekend and summer homes, which are now lovely shops that we can explore. Next, we will visit Tonala, a town that offers a large variety of arts and crafts at prices that won't be found anywhere else. On Thursdays and Sundays, the local shops have "tianguis," or open-air markets, where artisans from all over the region come to sell their products. At the end of the day, guests will be returned to their hotels.
